For all those of you who are planning to attend StormCon—the
North American Surface Water Quality Conference & Exposition, which takes
place August 3 through 7 in Orlando, Florida—it’s sneaking up on us very
quickly.
The conference hotel, the Orlando World Center Marriott, is
filling up fast. Although the room rate for StormCon attendees of $169.00 plus
tax is good through July 18, that applies only so long as rooms are still

We are also looking for moderators for a few more conference
sessions. These 90-minute sessions take place on Tuesday, August 5, through
Thursday, August 7. Each session includes three 30-minute presentations, and the
moderator’s role is to welcome the attendees, introduce the speakers, and keep
track of the time to let each speaker know when his or her time is just about
up. Many of our sponsors and exhibitors have acted as moderators over the last
several years and have enjoyed taking a little time away from their exhibit hall
booths to see what’s going on in the various sessions.
