Announcing The World’s Largest Annual Water Efficiency Conference
Santa Barbara, CA, May 13, 2008—The summer of 2006 saw
record-setting heat waves across Europe and North America, and the launch of
Water
Efficiency, The Journal for Water Conservation Professionals, the first journal to
provide the water management workforce with a source for efficiency and
conservation strategies. Now the publisher of Water Efficiency
has launched
WaterEC, the world’s largest annual water efficiency conference for water
systems professionals who are adapting to drought and preparing for climate
change effects.
WaterEC, The International Water Efficiency Conference, will be
held March 30–April 2, 2009 in Newport Beach, CA, at the Newport Beach Marriott.
WaterEC is for municipal, regional, state, provincial, and federal water
officials; engineers; and industry professionals to gather and share technical,
technological, and managerial water strategies. For more information or to
register for the conference, visit www.WaterEC.net.
"Since we launched Water Efficiency
in 2006,
community water conservation and efficiency techniques has become one of the top
environmental conversations in the world," said Daniel Waldman, publisher and
president of Forester Media, Inc. "WaterEC aims to be the gathering place for
those all over the world who are seeking to improve their organizations’
approach to water management in response to the serious challenges facing the
world’s water supply."
WaterEC will feature four program tracks on Source Development and
Protection, Supply Storage and Conveyance, Indoor/Outdoor Use, and Resource
Management. In addition, WaterEC will host an exposition hall of vendors and
service providers exhibiting water efficiency-related equipment, products,
technology, and services.
